Putting into operation, test reports and intercomparisons

- The Laboratory was mounted and put into operation in February 2009 by Dr. Jerome Luc, Project Manager at SATIMO. That opportunity was taken to perform the first tests and also for ICMET staff training.

- 3 mobile phones were bought for testing and used exclusively to this end (no SIM card). They will be the working standards of the laboratory.

- The standard test report of the laboratory was drawn up in Romanian (see here) and in English (see here)in compliance with IEC/EN 17025.

- According to the project, contact with SICOM Test Company(www.sicomtesting.com), Trieste, Italy, was ensured with a view to an exchange of experience and to achieving an intercomparison. Prof.Dr. Andrei Marinescu (Project Manager), Eng. Ionel Dumbrava and Eng. George Mihai participated on behalf of ICMET.

- The interlaboratory tests were achieved on the mobile phone (working standard) LG KU250 of ICMET. The results are contained by SICOM Test Report presented here. The results lay within the allowed error limits.

- Following the talks had at SICOM it was agreed to conclude a cooperation convention presented here.
