The collective has been accredited in 2007 by the National Accreditation Body Romanian Accreditation Association - RENAR (member of ILAC and EA), according to EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005.
Low Voltage Collective was achieved using public funds by means of the national programs Excellence in Research (CEEX) and INFRAS.
It performs safety and functional tests/verifications for electric and electronic low voltage equipment, in order to check the compliance with the essential safety requirements mentioned in the Low Voltage Directive 2006/95/EC.
Since January 2011, the Low Voltage Collective is included in the network of approved laboratories of National Center for Comparative Tests, non governamental organisation, partner of National Association for Consumers' Protection and Promotion of Programs and Strategies from Romania.
